 CPG CARD GRADING SCALE

Card Pro Grading (CPG) is a Hobby First Company with tremendous respect for our Industry Titans - PSA, Beckett and SGC. Our Focus is on a very specific segment of our Hobby - cards valued $499 or less (T-206 to Present).    

Cards that are Valued $500 and up are best left to the Titans PSA, Beckett and SCG. They have the Expertise, History and Pricing Power. CPG offers for Grades: Pristine 10, Grade 10, Grade 9, Grade 8, and Grade 7

PRISTINE 10: 4 Sharp Corners, original color & gloss and sharp focus. Slight printing imperfection is allowed with near perfect 50/50 centering. Centering allowed is 60/40 front and 75/25 back of the card. 

GRADE 10: High-end card but has a few flaws. Staining and slight fraying at up to two corners and printing imperfections is permitted. Center allowed is 70/30 front and 90/10 back of the card.    

GRADE 9: Card shows signs of wear including surface scratches and fraying on up to 3 corners. Printing imperfections visible with most of the original gloss of the card visible as well. Centering allowed is 80/20 front and 90/10 back of the card. 

GRADE 8:  Card has minor rounded corners and visible surface and printing imperfections obvious. Minor chipping on the edges and corners and the picture may be out of focus. Many light scratches visible are allowed. Centering allowed is 85/15 front and 90/10 back of the card. 

GRADE 7:  Up to 4 rounded corners , scuffing, surface wear and light scratching is allowed. Much of the cards original color and gloss can be lost. Creases in the card are permitted, staining is present both in the front and back of the card.
